Summary: The simplest things usually go unnoticeable by people, yet, they are sometimes the most important things to recall in life. During Nate's teenage years. Rated T for language. Prompts are welcomed!

	1. Chapter 1

Mustache

_It's a peculiar sight, that's for sure_… The boy thought as he watched his mentor flirting with a very young woman. Her body was quite voluptuous, Nathan noted. The area around her was bathed in the essence of vanity and her gait was as sultry as she was. She seemed to have a nasty attitude as a "bonus" to her looks. Her 6 inch heels looked painful and her face showed that she was clearly bad news for the two. The young woman flirted with Sully instantly, touching the old man lovingly as he continued to mutter, "Not in front of the kid, Angie…" and she would kiss his lips as to say, "Let him watch." If that were to happen, he'd need to bolt and go bleach his eyes. He sighed and slumped at the table he occupied alone as he tried to avoid observing the two. Nate's fingers fiddled with his pencil as he tried to look for something to sketch while he waited.

"Come on, Sully, she's just gonna ditch us soon as she finds what she's after. What the hell is taking him so long to realize that?" He narrowed his olive green eyes at them. "If I knew this would happen every time we saw one woman, I think I would have chosen to stay in Cartagena." What made Sully so attractive to women? Nate didn't think Victor was ugly per se; he did have some notable features that made him appealing; his rugged nature, his subtle Cuban style, and his muscular build, but other than that they seemed to be completely forgetful of that goddamn mustache. If there were one thing the earth hadn't seen, it was Sully without his mustache. _A good close shave and he'd be the fortune hunter Hitler!_ Nate smiled a little. So, he sketched that. Sully and his "irrestible" mustache.

	2. Chapter 2

/Ditch

He tore through the jungle alone, vines and thorns tore at his dull fawn colored thermal shirt. It penetrated his clothes and got to his skin. Minor cuts were easy to take care of so Nate didn't even begin to worry about the small scars these would become. He dodged the speeding bullets as he tried to escape from the sight of his chasers. They were fast, yet they weren't skilled enough to aim properly.

"Sully sure is missing one hell of an adventure right about now." Nate muttered. His eyes caught a glimpse of an open tree trunk and he hid himself in it. The scumbags chasing him flew right by Nate, not seeing him in the opening of the mossy tree. He sighed and exited but only to have some bastard jump onto his back. Nate grabbed him by his shoulders and threw him over, killing him in the process. He noticed the Wes .44 the man carried on him and immediately thought of Sully.

It bothered Nate when Sully would just walk off and expect to hear the full story at the end of the adventure. It was much better when he'd retell the story to Charlie or Chloe. Sully would give the story much more of a lively tale, one that sounded like the heroes knew they were going to make it. He'd forget the cigar and get so involved with the story, emotions, and the memories that came with it. It was a little exaggerated at times, but Nate was use to his boasting by now.

He picked the Wes .44 up and any ammo for it. "Sully woulda loved this…" He smiled as he stuck it in his holster.

"Yeah, he would." His mouth fiddled with his cigar as he took the gun from Nate's hand.

Nate smirked as he placed his hands on his hips, giving the old man a teasing stare. "I thought you weren't coming?"

"I thought so too, but then I said: what the hell?" Sully said as Nate slapped his back.

"Glad to have you on the team."
